Dalam bahasa Indonesia , direct speech adalah kalimat langsung . Sebaliknya indirect speech yaitu kalimat tidaak langsung .
> -direct : Dea said "I've been teaching English for seven years "
-indirect : Dea said that she had been teaching English for seven years .
> -direct : Farhan said "I'm going to the cinema"
-indirect : Farhan said that he was going to the cinema .
Interogative
> Mergi : "do you always help your mother?"
> Mergi asked me if i always helped my mother .
